Working on my transmission now and I lack the expertise to know if parts (syncros, slider, and dog teeth) are still serviceable.
Just wondering if everyone just replaces everything while they're in there. I know it's expensive, but is it worth the cost just to ensure I don't put bad parts back in? I found AutohauzAZ to have some of the best prices. Does anyone have a better parts supplier recommendation? |

The Doc is pretty good about answering questions. You might take pics and post them for comment if you are wondering if parts are usable.
BTW, the two ball bearings in the intermediate plate pretty much always fall apart when you take the two shafts out. And they're bleeding expensive. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) --DD |
