F1 test driver Marc Gene took a 2003 chassis (Schumacher) v10 around Road Atlanta at speed - just posted yesterday. Average speed 149.9 mph and a new track record of 1 minute and 1 second. Allot of us who call RA our home track have wondered what was possible in the past - finally we know for certain. Enjoy.

I can’t imagine what it would have been like before they installed the chicane in the main straight before the bridge! Very exciting video!

That dip on the back straight used to be called the "gravity cavity". The chicane you mentioned (turns 10a/10b) is much harder on the cars and adds about 8-10 seconds to a lap.
