I became one of THOSE people this weekend who has acquired a '75 Malaga Red 2.0L that's been in a garage for 20+ years! Cookie cutters with a 911 front end. From the looks of things, somebody may have been involved with local racing. It wouldn't be a 914 without a little rust under the battery, but that appears to be very limited as everything under the rockers it solid.

Why remove the Pauter rockers? Are they worn or too high a ratio? ..., but it's easier to swap to 1.7 rocker arms and 911 "elephant's foot" adjusting lugs. Even though a bit of machining of the arms is required. --DD I'm sure there's a good reason but - why 1.7 rockers that need machining instead of 2.0 rockers that don't ? |

The machining is required to use the 911 elephant foot adjusters and 2.0 rockers can't be use with the 911 elephant feet adjusters. Stock 1.7 rockers and adjusters bolt right on. The elephant feet adjusters are easier on the valve tips and don't wear like the stock 1.7 or 2.0 adjusters. Jim |
