I bought a new connection rod from another 914 member. (Thanks Bruce)
I just got around to installing it and I think I might need some help. I bought it because my original would pop off the connection point. Not the back of the pedal, but the linkage. I installed the new one and am still having the same problem. My question is... is there something I'm missing? Is the throttle cable too tight? It the linkage worn? Any help is appreciated. If both the old and new linkage pop off, you have replaced the wrong part. My guess is the ball stud on the pedal cluster is too worn.
