I am beyond frustrated! For some reason i can get a reading from my O2 sensor into my ECU.
I purchased a new ECU and O2 sensor and controller and I am getting the same results. Traced every wire looking for faults or shorts. I know i am putting the correct voltage to the correct pin on the ECU but I never see any response. I know the calibration is correct as the O2 is a LC2 which is programable and the dash gauge reads exactly what it should. I can set it to dual wide band and see the 2nd gauge respond perfectly but the gauge that is set to the local (pin 34) reads no voltage. Does anyone have know if you can set the input for the O2 gauge to a different input? Pin 5 is identified as SPARE input 2 as a ADC(ADC7). The options in Tuner Studios only give local and Remote ADC1,2,3... as options. None of these will pick up the signal i can confirm is going to pin 5. Same with pin 29 Spare Input 1. When i select dual wide bands i can get the SPARE ADC or Spare ADC2 to pick up the signal on the 2nd sensor port but no setting on the 1st port will result in a response. I am just completely baffled and have spent over $800 and have gotten no results. Can’t find anything in the settings that wold cause this issue. |

Just trying to help with electrical troubleshooting. In your 2nd sentence, you wrote: "...i can get a reading..." By the rest of the post, I assume you CAN'T get a reading. So you changed both the ECU and O2 sensor and have the same result. Thus one can surmise the ECU and O2 sensor are not the issues and it may be a wire issue. When you say you've "Traced every wire", did you measure resistance of the wires from one end to the other? If not, put your VOM in resistance mode and if necessary use extension wires so you can measure one end of a wire and the other end. Do this for all wires associated with the O2 sensor. Measure the resistance of the O2 sensor contacts going to the ECU. Measure at the 02 sensor w/o the connector. Then measure the wires going into the ECU from the O2 sensor. The measurement must be the same. |
