For what it's worth: I was talking to my friend/mechanic yesterday and he mentioned that he was 0 for 2 ordering rod bolts for a six he is rebuilding. They don't fit in the holes and are unacceptable. He spoke to Pelican about it. The manufacture is, get this, "OEM." Other parts are manufactured by "Germany." He surmised that they are Chinese manufacturers and we are being mislead by the name. He finally ordered some from Germany, the country.

I always assumed uro & oem were the same people or get their product from the same manufacturer. Their pricing and parts look the same.

I always assumed uro & oem were the same people Recurring conspiracy theories aside, we don't have any partnerships with other brands of parts for European cars. Some of our parts come off the same production line as those sold by a few competitors, including some well-respected big-name brands that sell for twice the price, but we don't private label our parts for anyone other than certain niche items for Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes and Saab. Nor do we make rod bolts or any other highly-stressed internal engine components for any vehicle. Anyone can check our online catalog to confirm this. Buy ARP and be done with it. ^ X2. |

It’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s just a partial quote of what I said. I’ll rephrase - I always thought uro and oem were the same crap, just a different name. |
