There are two stiff springs on rods in the shift console, one just in front of the shifter and one just behind. One of the springclips on a shaft is gone and the rod backed out of the housing far enough for the spring to slip out of the housing.
Stuffing the spring back into the housing is tough. Anybody have any ideas or tips? Picture attached, #3 and 4 Thanks, |

Use Phillips screwdriver, bend spring to place open end over hole, push through the screwdriver while pushing the spring into place. Work both ends, one side shaft other screwdriver, when spring is in place, push the shaft through the hole pulling on the screwdriver, install circlip.
Seems tough but not that bad . |
