I thought I would drive the 914 in to work this morning since it’s going to be nice today in Jacksonville but I had to turn around and go home. It was just above freezing when I left the house but I was dressed to deal. The problem was a howling noise that sounded like it was coming from in front of me. It was an on or off noise that came on once the car got to about 15 mph. Stopped when I slowed down. Had no affect on the car running and turning the heater off had no affect on the noise. Kinda sounds like an angry ghost trying to scare me. Any idea what it could be?

Front of the car inside the cockpit or out side the cockpit?
Any chance your tach or speedo were acting erratically? Was the noise proportional to your speed? Did it change at all when you loaded the car up by turning left or right at speed? |
