I thought I would drive the 914 in to work this morning since it’s going to be nice today in Jacksonville but I had to turn around and go home. It was just above freezing when I left the house but I was dressed to deal. The problem was a howling noise that sounded like it was coming from in front of me. It was an on or off noise that came on once the car got to about 15 mph. Stopped when I slowed down. Had no affect on the car running and turning the heater off had no affect on the noise. Kinda sounds like an angry ghost trying to scare me. Any idea what it could be?

For anyone using this thread to troubleshoot in the future it is temperature related. It was under 40 degrees when I left for cars and coffee and it howled and the speedometer bounced all the way there. Over 60 degrees driving home and smooth speedometer and not a peep. I’m going to go ahead and just replace it since it’s probably going to get worse.
