hi folks!
any advise how to install the rubber engine "snorkel", covering the wire harness exiting the tunnel? The original rubber grommet is all cracked up and I was think it would be a good idea to replace, while the engine is out. I have been staring at it for an hour, but can only come up with disassembling all the connectors and even then it looks like a tight fit. Any "alternative repair" advises are also very much appreciated. Cheers, dc |

My procedure was to remove the housings on the big connectors (make sure you can put the right wires back in the right place), fish a piece of bailing wire through the snorkel and wrap and tape it around the wire bundle, use plenty of glycerine to lube the wires and snorkel, then pull. Went fairly easy for me.
Good luck! |
