I'd like to put a spare wheel/tire in the rear trunk of my V8 conversion. 5x130 conversion also. Stock body and suspension.
Will a spare for a 97-05 Boxster work... [(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-20876-1561388920.1.jpg) Lug pattern and diameter look OK. Better choices? |

I have a 7"x15 full size spare with a 225/50 tire on it and it just barely fits in the rear trunk. When you stow the top it sits on the tire but the trunk still closes.
I got a 6"x15 rim to replace it but haven't mounted a tire yet. Probably gonna go with a 195/60 tire on that which should give me plenty of clearance for the top. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
