So I have a dumb question, but as my wife (who is a teacher) always says, the only dumb question is the question not asked so here goes..
I recently replaced the fuel lines in my 71 with stainless and new braided hose in the engine compartment. My question is, the lines that I purchased from Pelican, the smaller ones, which I believe would be the return lines, would not fit over any of the fittings so I just used the larger line. Does it matter if I use the larger braided hose for both supply and return? Thank you in advance for being patient and providing answers to my questions.. |

Does it matter if I use the larger [braided] hose for both supply and return? I have your order for 10 ft of the 9.5mm hose, but you really only need a couple feet of the larger size. All the fuel hoses in the engine compartment should be 8mm, and it's not a good idea to squeeze the 9.5mm hose down to go on an 8mm fitting, especially after the fuel pump on an injected car. If you like, I'll send 8 ft of the 8mm and 2 ft of the 9.5mm hoses. |
