Wanted to share this interesting moment when I was working inside the cabin.
A 1975 penny hidden underneath the carpeting of my 1975 914. The Porsche gods are watching over me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) -Ed |

Nice find! For sport, I sift my pocket change looking for pre-1982 pennies.
Keep it - pre-1982 copper pennies are the only coins left in circulation actually worth more than face value. The nickel is close to par but hasn't tipped over $0.05 yet. The day is coming. Pre-1964 silver is worth more of course, but it's been over two decades since I found silver coinage in my pocket change. New pennies are garbage zinc with a light plating of copper. http://www.coinflation.com/unitedstates/ And we wonder why 914's are now trading for crazy prices. Prices aren't higher, the value of the dollar is lower. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) |
