As per question ,can't find reference to this but when I removed the assembled sides I wired them together and all the gaps are @ the bottom...correct or not ?.

Look At This Link, Might Help:

The chamfered edges go up, the slot is for the pushrod tube retainer springs which goes down...... (toward the pushrod tube holes)
