Hi,
There is car for sale here which is supposed to be a 1973 2.0 (build date 9/1972) delivered new in Canada. Vinnr is not in the database here. Received below pics of the engine and batterytray (asked for the hellhole "below" the battery but this is what I got back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) does the filterhousing look correct ? Why are some hoses clamped ? Why there are so many cables running to the battery ? Black stuff on the body so I assume the car has some issues. Firewall and more area's look rusty... Is the front trunk patched in the corner ? For the specialist here, pls post your feedback. note: didn't see the car in person yet but my guess is to runaway fm it (although outside body and interior looks nice, car has a certificate etc) highly appreciated krgds Dax ![]() ![]() ![]() |

so far so horrible, hope it is cheap, someone welded a flat piece of metal to make a "new" tray, and patched the inner fender well. plumbed in a 1.8 aux air valve for the long gone original, air cleaner is dead on the money but they horribly gooped up the throttle body base gasket instead of buying a new one overspray on the side of the headlight box pivot screws means that the whold car is sloppy and has had work on the front panel as all of the caulking is not correct taped off wires, american rubber hose for vacuum line rear insulator pad missing, all implies lack of care and butchered work.
