Hi,
There is car for sale here which is supposed to be a 1973 2.0 (build date 9/1972) delivered new in Canada. Vinnr is not in the database here. Received below pics of the engine and batterytray (asked for the hellhole "below" the battery but this is what I got back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) does the filterhousing look correct ? Why are some hoses clamped ? Why there are so many cables running to the battery ? Black stuff on the body so I assume the car has some issues. Firewall and more area's look rusty... Is the front trunk patched in the corner ? For the specialist here, pls post your feedback. note: didn't see the car in person yet but my guess is to runaway fm it (although outside body and interior looks nice, car has a certificate etc) highly appreciated krgds Dax |

The wires running to the positive battery cable clamp are normal. That is where the chassis wiring connects to the battery.
The injection has has some rough treatment. Lots of plugged hoses, and the factory aux air regulator has been replaced with an L-Jet aux air regulator. That's not a big deal, but it is not stock. Don't write the car off until you have seen down in the hell hole. Clay |
