Wipers stop in mid sweep. Any way to set starting point or is the motor shot?

Yes, the motor always parks in the same spot.
Loosen (don't remove) the 10mm nut on that short motor arm, pry arm loose (it's easy) use a wiper arm to rotate the wiper shafts to the side you want the wipers to park on. Your choice. REMOVE THE WIPER ARM Tighten the nut on the short arm. Test operate the wipers before re-attaching the arms. Park on the wrong side ? Rotate the short arm 180 degrees. Forget to remove arms ? visit body shop for estimate. Maybe windshield shop too. |
