I have a 1.7 dual-carbed set up and I'm getting ready to change my facet fuel pump for a CMB rotary fuel pump. The PO moved the fuel filter to the top of the engine for ease of access, but my new CMB pump has one installed at the pump that is "supposed" to remain or the 1-yr warranty is invalidated.
Is it a problem to leave both filters in place or will that create too much pressure drop. I'm trying to do the pump switch-out without having to cut / re-plumb the fuel hosing. Also, is it better to have the fuel filter between the tank and pump or between the pump and carbs? |
