So I am a new 914 owner ( 1973) - car is running, but the clutch will not engage. Last owner said they thought the linkage was broken - but in looking under the car, the rod is moving just fine from shifter back to transmission. As I am poking around today I notice this cable end out near the rear / firewall. Is this my clutch cable? I think it is, but confused where the rest ended up.. and... where should I look/ repair for this? THANK YOU!   |

It will not engage. The movement on the stick / shifting "motion" plays through the shaft to transmission. Not sure what else may be wrong. I'll try to jack it and block it up higher as I havent been able to get under very well. I suppose I will have to keep digging in.
