Hey -
I have a couple of quick questions related to my engine rebuilding...... Anyone know the torque setting for the clutch pressure plate? Is the torque setting on the heads really only 23 lbs?! Seems real low. I busted an oil scrapper ring while installing the cylinder. It was my first time!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Is there anyone that will sell me just one? Here's a picture of the project...... Cheers Nate Attached image(s) |

Remember that the engine will "grow" as it heats up. The cylinder head nuts (you did go through the pattern when torqueing them, right??) will wind up being at something more like 45-50 lbs of torque equivalent by the time the engine is at operating temperature.
