Hi guys - is this (in green) the airbox mount left over from when the car had FI in it?

Yes, its for the 1.8 airbox. If you no longer have the FI you can removed the mount itself where it is bolted to the driver side frame rail.
2nd pic does look like where most AC compressors get mounted |
