Has anyone actually bought a 914 off of eBay for a decent price?
I looked at this car in person before it was listed on eVilbay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...3&category=2030 The guy was asking $3100 (Canadian). It didn't run (likely bad fuel injection problems), there were rust holes in all the usual places, and many other problems. It just sold for $4700 (Canadian), probably to somebody who didn't get a chance to look at the car. Is it even worth shopping cars on eBay? |

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm pretty sure I'd want to see a car myself before buying it. But the PPI advice of a savvy 914Clubber might be just as good.
I actually found the aforementioned 914 in the Vancouver Buy&Sell. There does seem to be at least one in there every week, but it's either a severely rusted "parts car" or a super-modified high-priced "deal". The search continues! I hope to soon be an owner so I can get more involved on this board. |
