I think I have an easy solution for installing the hose in the OEM style MC but need to test using the metal washers in place. TIA, Kent

Well, looks like I need to make 3 sizes! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) JK. Apparently the metal washers purpose is to support the base of rubber washer while preventing the tube from passing thru and bottoming out? Or should the tube pass freely thru the metal washer? If so how would you know if it had bottomed out or not? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) So the OD of the metal washer should be just large enough to drop inside the MC and the ID should be equal to the OD of the tube or slightly larger? And the 1mm depth should leave the the lip of the rubber washer snug against the MC. Sound about right.
Edit:I just looked at the new MC and noticed that it is stepped. Probably why there are differing dimensions given. At the lowest point or bottom it measures 13.11mm; next step up measures 13.5mm and the top of bore measures 14.85mm. Does the washer sit upon the 1st step preventing the hose from bottoming out? I'll add a pic. |
