I don't usually lust over cars in general, but for this one, I'll make an exception.
I remember reading about this car and drooling over the pics of the suspension, etc. Dreaming could I do this. Reality hit me as the money is deep on this build. This car is so fast....it defies reason. The color. Pretty amazing power (382.6 hp) to weight (1860 lbs) ratio. Just about everything on the car is killer. If I wasn't already knee deep in too many projects as it is (914-6 conversion project completion, 73 RSR hotrod refresh, 63 VNB Vespa restoration and finally a vintage race go kart project), I'd be bidding on this one for sure. Will be fun to watch. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/custom-po...-race-car-3-8l/ |

I still have my copy of Excellence, detailing the tubular rear trailing arms.
At the time, I thought of ways to escalate, adopting modern 21st century tech for stronger lighter. These days, I accept that the way it was done was to compete without complaints. A street car has no such constraints and could conceivably be improved, slightly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) https://www.xcsdesigns.co.uk/how-it-works Since the demand for such an iconic 914/6 will be breathtakingly elevated, I put the dollar sign above 60K, and well worth it, for such a trick toy. |
