I recall reading about a dipstick that reads the temperature. I have a new gauge in the car and it would like to know what I'm actually running. If you have one I can borrow, that would be even better

Have a gauge but it doesn't have numbers on it. I did buy a thermometer off amazon that had a long insulated wire. I fished it down into the tank and got an idea of the temperature so I have some reference for the dash gauge.
