wouldnt the numbers on the plate equate to week 40 day day 1 number chassis 77 and 1975? the numbers on the plate equate to Year 1974 week 40 day day 1 number chassis 77 This was just after the Karmann body # morphed from WWD95xx to WWD90xx There should be a black tag in the front trunk with the Karmann # as well. Photo? What is very strange is the paint code. It should read L97A if the paint was originally diamond silver metallic. The -9-3 I have only seen on the 911's of the period. ![]() |
