Okay everyone,
I am in the process of switching over to the European style front turn signal lights. Can anyone tell me what the functions are of each light. Does the bottom light stay on constant? Does the yellow portion function as a parking light and turn signal still? Just trying to get this right. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) Thanks for any help, |

Fabricated bulb holders
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i265.photobucket.com-18255-1453290894.1.jpg) Fitted into housings (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i265.photobucket.com-18255-1453290894.2.jpg) Cables fed through existing holes inside insulated part of housing (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i265.photobucket.com-18255-1453290895.3.jpg) Change amber lens to split clear/amber Feed power to new bulb from removed marker lamp cable. I only ran extra earth for peace of mind. US lamp housings have pins cast to hold the extra power cable. I heat shrunk over old terminal thats made redundant to prevent confusion in what to reconnect. Use standard twin bulb in amber position but only one filament in use (otherwise its a bigger job to change bulb holder) You can check out in more detail in my Build off challenge thread as its updated ! |
