The bulb is a 7309 F2 12v 35W, and none of the FLAPS around here have them and on their computer show as NLA, Ebay FLEEBAY had a few but like NOS for $25 a bulb!! I will sell these restored fog lights and buy some new cheap LED that will fit in the same spot before I sped $25-$30 for one single bulb!
question is , is there a LED that has same base to fit in there, or some other source that I am unaware of that these could be purchased at a reasonable price? |

Highly recommended. Spoke's LED boards and Mark's yellow fog lenses. I've been meaning to post pictures, but haven't taken any yet. Ok, I guess I have pictures. More impressive at night. @jim_hoyland If a yellow look is desired, it looks like the best way is to use white LEDs with yellow fog lenses. I did a pair of "yellow" LED fogs for Jim but the color is very deep either yellow or amber, depending on your reference. It seems the LED manufacturers mix the colors amber and yellow together interchangably. From wikipedia, they claim yellow has a dominant wavelength of roughly 570–590 nm The "yellow" LEDs I used were OSRAM Yellow with wavelength of 590nm (583nm ~ 595nm). Other manufacturers claim the same wavelengths for yellow and amber: Everlight Amber 589nm (585nm ~ 593nm) Everlight Yellow 589nm (585nm ~ 593nm) Cree XPE2 Amber (585nm ~ 595nm) Here's Jim's fogs and the color it produces. Very deep yellow/amber; not sure which it is. ![]() ![]() Here's fogs with white LEDs behind yellow lenses. I think these are @Tbrown4x4 's. Notice how light the yellow looks compared to the "yellow" LEDs above. ![]() ![]() |
