The key was being difficult going into the ignition so I sprayed a little wd40 into it yesterday. The key went in a lot easier today but now it won't turn. Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's a '74. I have a feeling it might be gunked up. I had to clean out and the door locks as well. How hard is it to get the assembly off?

Spray in some carb or brake cleaner and you may get lucky
If you could get it to the unlocked position not that hard. But with it locked you may have to pull the whole steering upper assembly to get to the back side to depress the tab that locks into the column.

Maybe you can pull the tumbler assembly if you can get asccess to the hole that has the spring that needs to be depressed to pull the tumbler assembly.
