The key was being difficult going into the ignition so I sprayed a little wd40 into it yesterday. The key went in a lot easier today but now it won't turn. Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

By any chance is your door key different from your ignition key? Mine is, yet my door key will fit and sometimes turn the ignition; sometimes gets stuck. If you have multiple keys, make sure the correct key is in the ignition.
