Might have better luck if it were a 914 gage I don't own a 914 (just a 911) - can you tell me why you say it's not for a 914 and what you think it is for? It is not a gauge original to a 914 and will not function in a 914 if it is a mechanical drive gauge. Others have suggested what it came from. Look for the part number on the gauge and go from there. |

It is an electronic tach, not mechanical. If you look at the picture of the back of the gauge you can see three terminals in a row. One is ground, one is 12V, and one is the tach signal from the breaker points. If it were mechanical, it would have a cable fitting not unlike the back of a 914 speedometer. |
