I am trying to decide whether to rebuild my dash with a radio cut-out or a blank plate. I do not want a modern looking head unit in the dash. I know I can get a vintage look with modern internal tech, but then why not just hide something?

I was joking with my wife that I'd get an old 8 track off of eBay. A few brick-sized 8-tracks. The kids would be "Wait, you had only 8 songs on that thing? What's all the rattling?"
Then the coup de grace, ejected tape with tape all over the floor. "Now kids, what we did in the cases was to carefully roll the gears to get the tape back in to the box." I can see their faces. |

Don't forget the matchbook to wedge under the cartridge to make it track properly on the heads. Gawd I miss 8-tracks. |
