I just got done mounting the new throttle body and testing idle. Went for a drive and when I came back I popped open the lid to make adjustments on the idle screw as I was a tad high.
This is what I saw: My test drive was about 10 miles, and the car drove down with the throttle flapping all over. It never jumped off the mount even with the screw broken. So now I order another throttle cable. Yay. I have no clue when on the drive it broke. Zach |

I've had that exact failure. I put a spring washer there now to add some compliance and reduce the load on the thread base.
