I have been looking at other shifter options as part of shifter relocation thoughts on my car which is equipped with a side shift 901 box.
Doing a search, I found this V8 conversion race car equipped with a 930 gearbox. It has a Corvette C5-C6 shifter that has the benefit of creating a rotation movement when moving the shift lever left to right in the same direction as the standard 914 side shift shifter. I was wondering if anyone would have information on the setup of this car which was for sale a few years back. Any knowledge of where this car is today? Thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) http://914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=222526 |

What's with the hoop thing on the gas pedal? The whole affair must get wierd when it enters the engine comp. Thats a jezuz hoop. When the pedal goes down and sticks at full throttle you yell jezuz and then lift it back up with the top of your foot. Its like up-shifting on a motorcycle. Usually they are to prevent your foot from coming into contact with the cable if it runs outside the tunnel. Tilton pedals have an option for the bracket. I highly suspect they are really in case of a crash so they don't have to cut your feet off when they get caught up. |
