Maybe remove the valve cover and check for a broken retaining wire or something else bouncing around in there? Longshot, but I can't think of anything else in that area that would be moving around.

Maybe remove the valve cover and check for a broken retaining wire or something else bouncing around in there? Longshot, but I can't think of anything else in that area that would be moving around. you are thinking a pushrod tube clip? @Fanmac how did the noise start? have you gotten under the car - can you get it up on ramps/hoist safely to take a look/listen from below while its running. |
