My 1972 1.7L 914 is in very good shape. But recently the fuel gauge will not go above indicating 1/2, even if the tank is full. Once the tank goes below 1/2 or 1/3, it will start indicating correctly.
I suspect it is some part in the fuel tank sender that should be sliding up and down with the fuel level, and is getting stuck half-way. Any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks, Andrei. |

Really easy to pull it out and likely there's a bit of rust jamming it...i'd suggest you get a used one from Brad Stone or Garold or another vendor ....check the for sale 914 parts...just swap them... |
