I'm sure this is the wrong forum, but I'd love to hear some feedback on this listing:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-porsche-911t-50/

I'm temped to bid, just to keep it in the family so to speak, but I expect it will quickly escalate beyond my means to buy. Let alone ever repair it properly, which I guess is the more important thing to consider.

He has what look like 914-6 MAG wheels leaned up to wall. These are worth some money.

Those are the original with the car. Mahle gas burners? He was told to take them off and sell them separately.

Do you like my photography? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It is numbers matching (99.9% sure) , the owner bought it 1 year old in new condition, low mileage and he never replaced the engine or trans, he never even had them out. It's a diamond in the rough, needs a lot of love, but workable. It will be a cool car, the engine is all there and the oil flap in the fender makes it unique.
There is a interesting story behind the car, but like Matt said it's not my story to tell.

Yes, I was the azzhole that told him to sell the gas burners separate, the rubber was totally rotted and flat so I found him the rollers. Figured roller would be easier to sell and the GB's had value separately. I wasn't far off on my valuation of the car.

I seriously thought about making an offer, but I didn't need another project, I have nowhere to store it, my pockets aren't deep enough and the wife would shoot me.

Yeah, thanks for helping him out with all that!

Looks like the purchaser is from France, and maybe some sort of collector. Hopefully the car lives to tell a few more stories.
