Need Assistance !!
Here is the scoop; I acquired a teener from Florida last summer which included many components necessary to do V-8 conversion and the basic kit is "Rod Simpson Hybrid" Also included were FG flares, and these Heavy Duty Rear Springs. There are Four of the "silver" ones which have some type of "color markings" and two of the all "black" coil rear springs. Additional details and dimensions on the springs are as follows: (see attached picture(s). SILVER ------------------------------------------------------------- BLACK Red/yellow markings painted on top of each --------------- No # or markings 12 1/8" Height -------------------------------------------------- 12 3/4" 4 1/2" O.D. Width ------------------------------------------------ 4 1/8" 0.47 " / 12mm Spring Diameter (same) ---------------------- 0.47" / 12mm It is my understanding that a pair of these should be for the heavy duty rear suspension which is recommended and or required with the extra weight of a V-8. Really appreciate anyone's comments confirmation on identifying these for me. Happy New Year 914ers. Allan PS New Thread Post pending on my project which includes a 1996 LT1 Chev V-8 with "Boxster tranny" into my 1974 Florida roller; should be interesting ! Attached thumbnail(s) |
