Alright, I have Jorge at European motor works in CA handling my 2056cc engine build. So now I need to see if my existing transmission is still healthy or needs a refurbish. Question is for you guys in 914world is 1. Who have you guys sent your tired ole 901 transmission for a rebuild? 2. Is there any advantage to finding a used 915 transmission and having it rebuilt instead? 3. Is it really an improvement worth pursuing or is it a waste of money or not worth it?

The transmission guru is Dr Evil at Evilwerks LLC. He used to be a very frequent poster on here until his life got too busy. You can probably find him in the Vendor Members section. I took one of his seminars and rebuilt my sideshift 901 transmission a few years ago. Highly recommend him. |
