So I was curious about what the most common 914/6 color was.
This is based on 686 car that I have COAs on...nothing more scientific than that. 15.91% Silver Metallic 15.77% Tangerine 13.72% Signal Orange 13.58% Canary Yellow 13.58% Light Ivory 9.20% Irish Green 4.82% Adriatic Blue 2.92% Metallic Green 1.90% Metallic Blue 1.46% Bahia Red 1.46% Metallic Red 1.17% Gemini Blue 0.88% Willow Green 0.88% Saturn Yellow 0.73% Metallic Gold 0.73% Black 0.58% Paint to order (Porsche) 0.44% Sun Yellow 0.44% Paint to order (Customer) |

If the car was originally purple (aubergine) it would fall under one of these paint codes: Paint to order (Porsche) Paint to order (Customer) McMark has a 914/4 that was aubergine |

Not very lilac. Think of the skin of a big fat ripe eggplant. Last year a dealer in Cleveland had an aubergine '75 914 with a tan interior. |
