I hate starting topics for simple questions...but the search is defeating me.
What's the hub bore size of stock wheels? I'm looking to spec out some VTO wheels for the street car. The Fuchs I'm running now (914.361.011.01) appear to have a 78.5mm bore (implying a 78mm hub size). But that's measured with a small scale, I don't have the correct snap gauges for that size. I've test-fitted 205/50-15 Nitto NT01 on Panasport 15x7s from the race car but the offset is way too small (too far out); those will contact the right rear quarter on the street car, even when rolled. The race car has rolled inner fenders and "massaged" quarters; I think those Panasports are ET20 (hand-measured 122mm backspace). I'm looking to fit a 205/50 on a 15x7 VTO within the street car's narrow body with only rolled fenders. Probably looking at ET35 if my calcs are right, 40 if I want to be safe (looks like I can move in that far safely). Kinda just need the bore specs to nail it down... Thanks! |

Greg,
If you're looking for the classic 8 spokes, the following was taken from my invoice from VTO. I think it's pretty much one size fits all for that Porsche 914 wheel, but they might be more flexible than I think. I tried to get a 15x6 from them, and Alex(I think he's the main guy) wasn't too open to that. That said, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Maybe this will give you some of the specs you are looking for. Sorry, I didn't attach the whole invoice....just did a quick and dirty copy and paste. BTW...I ended up selling them to Noel and I never fit them @ndfrigi . He might chime in and be able to give you more info on how they fit on a narrow body car. 15x7 Classic 8, Undrilled, 12P, LB, Silver Mach/lip ea 187.00 748.00T 4 0.00 0.00T 021-+35off Machine to +35mm backspace ea 4 021-4x130 Bolt pattern drilled to 4x130 ea 0.00 0.00T 16 0.00 0.00T 000-INSERT ea 15X7", CLASSIC 8, 4X130MM, 35MM+, SILVER w/machined lip, DRILLED 748.00 PLEASE BORE TO 86MM 4 520-LS Wheel Cap, Large, 67mm dia., 20mm Tall ea 0.00 0.00T 4 0.00 0.00T 510-VTOLOGO VTO Logo ea 16 000-LB17G Lug Bolt, 60 deg taper, 14x1.5mm, 17mm Hex ea 1.25 20.00T 4 2.50 10.00T 001-515 Valve Stem, Metal Chrome ea 1 Shipping Shipping & Handling 81.10 81.10 PLEASE INCLUDE XL T-SHIRT Out-of-state sale, exempt from sales tax |
