My 914 (Reinhold) just got a sponge bath. After that I watched "Cry Macho" & I highly recommend it. It's a classic IMHO.

Grrrr- I feel the degradation every time I have to carry, reach for, remember where I left, replace when crushed in my pocket ( I refuse to carry the hard case ) . . . an object foreign to my body that is required for me to read anything within an arm length.
Mind you, I feel “lucky” (I guess) that I don’t need them to drive (yet). On that day - utter dejection may set in. . . Hold on, I need to find those infernal readers(and the headlight), so I can change these 50 year-old rear wheel bearings. Guess the late 40’s were a turning point (downward spiral) for them too.
