Blasted one then thought before I do the 2nd one I'd better ask if these were supposed to be 'au natural" since I see no evidence of prior paint/primer.

I ended up replacing my original ones with some nice used because the flapper valve seals deteriorated (probably made out of some sort of asbestos material haha) and fell off the metal plates. I need to take them off and have them powder coated.
