Does the rear glass come out from inside or outside the car? No i don't want to break it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)
I'm assuming its a simple job or remove some trim & sealer, any tips? TIA Trev. |

Yes, EVERYTHING really has to come out, including all of the padding on the inside of the targa bar. The glass is supposed to be glued into place, but chances are the only thing still holding it there now is the pressure from the padding and some old tape. If it's still being held in, and was as originally installed, there should be butyl tape holding it in, which usually has a wire embedded in it. Dig out a bit of that wire, pull, and the whole thing should come out.
Reinstall with more butyl tape. |
