So, I have read several posts and watched several videos to do with engine rebuilds. I am wondering what people recommend for the engine case sealant. In Jake Raby's video, he used Aviation gasket sealer, which I have used on other applications with great success.
That being said, this is my first type IV build, so I am seeking input from those who have done their own builds. I would like to know what you used, why and pros and cons. Thanks for any input...... |

There is a comprehensive thread over on Pelican that essentially ends with a definitive sealant kit assembled and sold by Henry Schmit proprietor ot Supertech. It is intended for 911 sixes but should work just fine. Henry knows his stuff
The thread is many pages long. Lots and lots of discussion. I used the kit to seal my six 5 years ago. No leaks |
