Other than drain the transmission, add magnetic drain plug, flush, and refill we didn't open it but there is a slight leak coming from the side shifter linkage.

Is the cover intended to catch this leak or is something not right?

Seal and o-ring are part of the tranny gasket set.
I could not find them seperatly.

Cup bushings, get two (one for that area, one for the shifter.

Console bushing, in my opinion, is far too loose in stock form.
The shifter rod moves too much at that key point.

Go to gpr.com and buy the bronze bushing….it’s nice and snug.
Seems he is the only one who sells it.

Check the other thread I just posted fir some pics about this.

Rich Dauenhauer (914werke) is who has the bronze console bushing. GPR.com is a website for ground positioning radar. I dont know if the old German parts and Restoration is still around.

Edit. I found German Parts and Restoration and they charge $23.50 for the bushing whilt Rich charges $9.14.
