I have noticed that the air box connection is loose after getting to work on the car. Took the box off, changed the filter and vacuum hoses but noticed the connection isn’t tight after getting everything back together. I’m not married to the stock box if there is a better solution but just not sure if this connection is a wear item or I’m missing a way to tighten this connection.
Thanks! Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() |

You mean you can't tighten that flat head bolt enough for a tight fit?
You can use pliers to massage that bent metal piece to increase the clamping pressure, but it doesn't need to be particularly tight. |

It’s loose on the top connection where there isn’t a way to tighten beyond just pushing it on, and yes I’m changing hoses. This arrow better represents where it’s lose. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() |
