My first 914, a brand new ‘73 1.7, was Sunflower Yellow. It was so deep and bright I called it the Neon Daffodil.

My first 914, a brand new ‘73 1.7, was Sunflower Yellow. It was so deep and bright I called it the Neon Daffodil. My first 914 was a '74 Sunflower Yellow 1.8. It had oxidized quite a bit when I got it. Then I gave it a good Turtle Wax polish. What a difference. The garage was glowing yellow. And BTW if anyone has it I would like to buy it back (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . It had a very distinctive white and green horizontal stripe between the tail lights totally covering the yellow. The owner was a professor from IWU and painted that area the school colors. |
