Lines are similar to the Tapiro. Did all Giugiaro’s designs look similar?

Lines are similar to the Tapiro. Did all Giugiaro’s designs look similar? It was the early folded paper design era. He later moved on to the jelly bean design era like the Subaru SVX, Lexus GS and Saab 9000. its possible he invented the origami trend. (i mean stole it from J culture) but you know the italians. they are always argueing about who did it first amongst themselves. he worked for bertone and almost simultaneously bertone came out with the lancia stratos zero. very origami. and probably a legacy of guigairo who had left just prior. its generally accepted though that guigaro is the man behind the folded flat plane look. so its not so much he works in the style of that era, rather he caused that era and birthed the style. he was pretty damn good at the height of his powers. the jelly bean era is largely forgettable. the second ford taurus being perhaps one of the most regrettable examples along with countless hyundais. mind you the dodge viper wasn't bad and perhaps redeemed the trend? |
