What color is the driving light switch supposed to be for 1974? I have a green one in the car, but in a parts bin I noticed a yellow one.

My 74 014 2.0L has the lights inside the bumper, and the guy who sold it to me has clear lenses on them now, but also sold me some yellow lenses for those lights. One other quick question. While my car does not have this feature, I have seen pictures of other 914s with a green light switch looking handle mounted to the right of the steering wheel (next to the cigarette lighter), and the symbol on this green switch is kind of a squiggly curlicue line. What’s does this operate? I Post pictures of the lights and we can tell if they were the US spec fogs or the H3s with the more clear lenses, the bulb position is different. The green button you refer to with the squiggly curlicue line is for the rear defrost window. In another twist since this thread is this old, I found a guy on EBay selling the H3 lights that fit the 914 fog light grille, that I called "driving lights" right or wrong: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285404771293?hash=...pwAAOSwTIpgthzt Get them while you can (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) |

If you need closer photos, let me know? (And thanks for the education on the green dash instrument.) Many thanks! Attached image(s) ![]() |
